About Wollongong Mountain Bike Club
Wollongong Mountain Bike Club was incorporated in June 2003 and like most sporting clubs is run solely by volunteers who are people who love to ride, just like you. The clubs purpose is to promote off road cycling for recreation and sport in Wollongong and surrounding districts and to conduct off road cycle races in accordance with the rules of Mountain Bike Australia.
Membership to the Club, while being subject to the approval of the Executive, is open to anyone with an interest in the sport, who is prepared to support and participate in the objectives of the Club. In an effort to promote responsible, safe and sustainable riding, all members of WMBC commit to its Rules of the Trail.
The Committee
The daily running of the club is handled by the Committee who put their hand up at the annual general meeting and able to spare some time to ensure racing is held and mountain biking is represented in the Illawarra.
If you are interested in assisting with the running of the club we'd love to hear from you. Whether its becoming a committee member, sparing a few hours for track maintenance or just assisting in race day timing it all helps in running a great club for all.
