2010 Cross Country Series Changes
With cross country racing for 2010 due to start on the 14th February 2010 the committee are proud to announce some changes to the series.
For 2010 in order to increase competition and to build the social side at the race finish we will now be holding two seperate series, the Steel City Cycles Series and the Bike Hub Wollongong Series.
Both series will start at the same time in a mass start as usual with the only difference being whether you race over 2 or 3 laps. We suggest that if your laps times have been around 45 minutes or less than you enter the Steel City Cycles Series and if your times are over 45 minutes a lap then you might want to go in the Bike Hub Wollongong Series.
With riders now doing either 2 or 3 laps and still starting at the same time we expect a closer finishing time range and an increased atmosphere at the finish.
Also in 2010 kids up to Under 13 can make use of the newly constructed kids track and enter the Sugar Cube Series. With unlimited untimed laps, free race entry and a number plate to keep on their bike all year the kids will reminding the parents about the upcoming races.
Come along and see the registration tent on race day and we'll help you get on your way.
